Japanese zelkova
People find massibe trees in the city of Kyoto. Most of them grow in spiritual places like temples and shrines, associating with the centuries' history of the ancient capital. Zelkova which had its tree life of 800 years, grown inside the premises pf Daitokuji Temple in Kyoyo was the material used for this chair. The lumber from the tree was highly condensed, and vivid as it could be, humbly reflecting the climate of Kyoto, with its distinct four seasons.
